Workplace Audits

Are you meeting the legal requirements related to your people?

Understand your legal obligations

Full compliance of legal requirements as an employer is an integral part of running any successful business, as the consequences for failing to do so can include heavy penalties and fines. Most business owners and managers do not always have the time to understand compliance in its entirety. Misunderstanding compliance as an employer can often result from lack of education in the extensive record of legislation.

Some of these areas of legislation include:

  • National Employment Standard
  • Fair Work Act Australia
  • Enterprise Agreements
  • Health & Safety
  • Immigration & Work Visas
  • Anti-discrimination
  • Privacy

Understanding the consequences in relation to non-compliance

In addition to fines and heavy penalties, compliance issues can be a source of anxiety and concern for business owners and managers.

Here at Fifth Eagle, we aim to protect employers from unconscious breaches or non-compliant processes in relation to:

  • Unfair Dismissal
  • Constructive Dismissal
  • Wrongful Dismissal
  • Discrimination
  • Redundancy
  • Equal Pay
  • Breach of WHS Act, numerous on-the-spot fines are applicable
  • Breach of Privacy Act
  • Employment of illegal workers

Do you need help ensuring your business is compliant?

Based on our findings from an initial consultation, we may recommend a workplace audit.

Typically, a workplace audit involves being on site for a few hours and covers checks on areas such as:

  • Wages and salaries
  • Full compliance with one of the 122 industry or occupation awards
  • Full compliance with the Fair Work Act 2009
  • Complying with NES, Health & Safety, Immigration, Privacy legislation
  • Full compliance with the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991

Following this detailed assessment, we would then provide a comprehensive report that covers items in need of urgent action, ultimately avoiding breaches and non-compliance. The report would also include further recommendations to improve best business practice.

“We understand the legal and compliance issues facing businesses and organisations of all sizes. Fifth Eagle applies effective measures in minimising exposure and resolving issues before they become problems.”
